CT Scanning

Before starting to make, we need to scan the real living creature first, because we don't know the method of animal moving, we have to obtain the 3D module thought 3D scan machine

-CT scanning 

 

The cylinder of  CT scanning which
diameter is  154 mm
and height is  82 mm.

So, please make sure your material is in the safe zone.

 

After we get the module, and do the research, understanding the principle of animal movement, the next steps just can start making.

 

Unfortunately, I can't  be bought  the jellyfish from fishmarket, and I ain't allow to go inside the water museum to capture the real jellyfish, so I trying to scan the same species like jellyfish of the cephalopod.

 

I was bought spear squid, small squid, fish and small shrimp.

The reason that I chose fish, is the method of fish underwater locomotion,  fish has really soft body, when fishtail swing left into right, can make a huge power of forward, force entire body moving, I wanna do some research of fishtail, make it possible for my jellyfish robot.

The way of squiz pressing the water make a opposite power to move, is a more close way of jellyfish research.

The small squiz also have a very interesting movement like spear squiz, press water to create a forcement power.
